CBSE Class 10 Examination not be Mandatory
Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) Class 10 students won’t have to give board exams from the next academic year and will be graded for their performance through the year. Students will be graded for their performance through the year and not on the basis of one exam. Grading will be mandatory but students can also opt for a board exam.
Students getting above 90 per cent will be given A1 Grade, while students getting above 80 per cent will be accorded A2 grade. The last grade will be E, which will be less than 30 marks. Students with E2-grade can appear in a compartment exam.
There will not be pass or fail category under the new system which will help students not to develop any complex over their marks. The Government will implement a grading system for Class 10 from the next session.
