Online Test for GUJCET compulsory from 2011
Gujarat state education department has decided to make online test for Gujarat Common Entrance Test (GUJCET) mandatory from 2011. GUJCET is compulsory for admission to medical and engineering courses in the state.
GUJCET for MCA and MBA were conducted online this year, in which 22,000 students appeared. In order to streamline the process, government has decided to set up computer laboratories at all GUJCET centres in different districts across the state.
GUJCET exams are conducted annually in April, in which around 90,000 students appear. The online exam system aims at giving instant result to the students to expedite the admission process. It is also likely to speed up the overall examination process, as students will not have to write manually.
