IGNEAT 2009: IGNOU seeks Report from Yahoo
IGNOU here has sought an explanation from Yahoo for a server collapse during an online entrance test this past Saturday. Yahoo was providing the server services for the online examination for face-to-face programmes (IGNEAT 2009) in engineering and technology conducted by IGNOU on October 31.
As many as 9,350 candidates were scheduled to appear in the exam across 80 centres throughout the country spread in five sessions. IGNOU may now consider conducting the exam through OMR sheets, which has been the conventional method as quoted in The Hindu.
