KEAM 2010 Wrong Answer Deduces 1 Mark

Request Result

The negative mark deducted for every wrong answer in the Kerala entrance examination (KEAM) was 1 mark till 2009. As per Prospectus 2010 half a mark is deducted for every wrong answer. This change was effected with a view to removing students’ anxieties about negative mark to some extent.

Nevertheless, the demand from some corners to completely eliminate the system of negative mark cannot be conceded. In consideration of the mixed responses raised on this issue, Government have decided to
reinstate the negative mark as one mark.
