How to Prepare for BITSAT? Books and Syllabus
BITSAT 2011 notification came out today. The last date of application for BITSAT 2011 is January 31, 2011. The test will be conducted in May-June 2011. In this post we will provide details of exam, syllabus, books to prepare some tips for the exam.
About BITSAT
- BITSAT exam is conducted every year in the month of May-June. This exam is necessary to get admissions to BITS Pilani campus.
- This is a 3 hour online test. Questions will be asked from Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, English and Logical Reasoning.
- There will be no break in between sections. There is no time limit for sections. There are 4 sections in the exam. Total Questions 150 in 180 minute.
- Each correct question will get 3 marks and wrong answers -1 mark.
- For candidates who complete 150 questions before 180 minutes, there is an option to attempt 12 special questions. These questions will be be from Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics.
- All questions are objective (multiple choice questions) based on NCERT syllabus.
- Questions will be asked from a large question bank. The test is designed to provide equal difficulty questions to all candidates.
- Once you complete the exam you will get the BITSAT score.

Tips to prepare
- Most of the candidates who apply for BITSAT will also be appearing for AIEEE as well as state entrance exams. Most of these exams are based on NCERT syllabus. The only additional thing a candidate need to learn is English and Reasoning.
- AIEEE 2011 is schedule to be conducted on May 1st 2011. BITS Pilani will be conducted from May 11 to June 10, 2011.
- Make use of the sample test upload in BITS site for practice
- Once you have completed the syllabus, please make sure that you take atleast 3 mock tests
- Once you opt this section you cannot go back to the 150 questions section. So be careful to review the 150 questions section before you attempt the special section.
