How to Check EPFO/Provident Fund Balance?

Now employees can access the Provident Fund Balance/EPFO online. EPFO has made a online page to access PF balance. For the time being this feature is available to only few EPFO in the country, but it will be shortly rolled out to all the EPFOs. It is launched on July 1st, 2011.

How to check PF Balance?

You can check the balance in the link http://www.epfindia.com/MembBal.html. Select the office if it is available in the link.And then enter details like PF Account Number, Name and Mobile Number. Select Agree if you agree to terms and conditions.

You should be careful while entering the PF number. Every PF number will have 7 digit Establishment Code, 3 Character Extension (optional) and 7 digits account number. You can find the entire PF number on your payslip or can contact your payroll department to give the entire account number.

EPFO was testing this feature for the past 2 months. We are not expecting this system to give results for all accounts. If the Account Number entered by you is not correct or it is not available in the system then you will get an error as invalid member id.
