6 Things that you didn’t know about ISB Admission
Recently admission director had a chat conversation with ISB aspirants in Rediff. There are several items mentioned in the chat which probably many of the ISB aspirants did not know earlier. Read full transcript from Rediff.
- In case of multiple GMAT score only the highest will be considered. The GMAT range of 2012 batch is 600 to 780. [Read GMAT Trends of ISB]
- The over GMAT score weightage is not very high. However the GMAT score of class is also dependent on the GMAT score of the applicant pool. [Read: How ISB evaluate profile? We were very close to predicting this!]
- One can offset poor academic scores with a relatively high GMAT score!
- ISB selectivity ratio is 8:5:1. which means for every 8 applicants, 5 are interviewed and 1 gets final admit
- ISB provides scholarships from 3 to 10 lakhs. GMAT score is not a criteria for awarding scholarships
- ISB provides eligible candidate deferment of admissions, provided one can substatiate it. This means if someone gets admit to the ISB classes starting in 2012 but is unable to join due to some constraints, ISB will allow the candidate to join for the 2013 classes
