UPSC Civil Services Main Exam Result 2009
On the basis of the results of the Civil Services (Main) Examination, 2009 held by the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) in October – November, 2009, the candidates with the roll numbers have qualified for Personality Test for selection to the IAS, IFS, IPS and other Central Services (Group ‘A’ and Group ‘B’).

UPSC increases Civil Services intake from 580 to 965
The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has substantially increased the total intake into the Civil Services from 580 in 2009 to 965 in 2010, an increase of 385 seats. Though the total vacancies (965) to be filled through the 2010 Civil Services Examination (CSE) will be meant for all 24 services, including IAS, IFS, IPS, IRS and others, the police services will see a major jump in intake.

UPSC Combined Medical Final Results 2009
UPSC has published final results of Combined Medical Services Examination 2009. The exam was conducted on Jan 18, 2009. Personality test was conducted from Oct 20 to Nov 7. Total of 450 candidates are selected for the final list. Out of 450 candidates 210 are General Category, 130 OBC, 74 SC and 36 ST.
